Executive Certificate in Financial Planning Program Structure
The Executive Certificate in Financial Planning is a sequential six-course certificate program that meets on Friday night and Saturday, every other weekend. Students can expect to complete the program in nine months. See course dates & times.
Participants in the certificate program must have a four-year degree. Any requests for exceptions to the above admissions requirements must be made in writing to the program director.
Costs for the six-course curriculum is $5,400, plus books and materials. A non-refundable deposit will be required with the application. The tuition is non-refundable after the start of the first class meeting. Payment may be made by check or credit card.
Upon successful completion of all required courses, participants will receive a certificate of completion from SF State Extended Learning. San Francisco State University has received certification with the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFP® Board). Students who successfully complete the Executive Certificate will be eligible to sit for the CFP® Certification Examination.
