Overview
The Institute for Holistic Health Studies (IHHS) is pleased to offer a Certificate in Holistic Health Studies for non-matriculated U.S. residents and international students. The certificate is ideally suited for individuals interested in a multi-disciplinary, cross-cultural curriculum designed to provide insight into ancient and modern wellness methods and concepts from around the globe. The certificate requires 30 units including a 3-unit internship seminar. The program is appropriate for those with at least 56 units of undergraduate courses, an associate’s, bachelor’s or advanced degree, healthcare professionals or those exploring career change options. The certificate is an excellent choice for those interested in learning methods for stress reduction, self-care, self-regulation, personal growth and health promotion. Course content is interdisciplinary, examines human experience and health from an interdependent or holistic perspective, and focuses on practical, experiential learning in diverse areas such as stress management, autogenic training, East Asian medicine, meditation, yoga, biofeedback, guided imagery and more.
