There are no formal requirements or prerequisites to fulfill prior to enrolling in the Human Resource Management: Fundamentals program. The first class, HRM Overview (HRM 9080) is the prerequisite for all other Fundamentals classes. Previous HR experience is not necessary.
Students who wish to earn the Human Resource Management: Professional certificate must first complete the Fundamentals certificate.
Credit is recorded as Continuing Education Units (CEU), which provide a standard of measurement for non-degree educational experiences. CEUs cannot be applied to a degree. As a SHRM preferred provider, our courses count toward SHRM recertification.

As a result of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) of 2014, CalJOBS provides connections to customer-focused employment training for adults and dislocated workers.
