Prerequisites: InDesign or Illustrator and Graphic Design I.
This five-week class will introduce the principles and uses of typography for print design. The class will produce portfolio-quality pieces. Many facets of typographic design will be discussed and practiced, including alignment indication, layout and presentation of the work. Lectures on typography design will discuss and showcase other mediums including film, television, environmental, and web design. Students will cover any outside costs for this class, including printouts, mounting supplies, fonts etc.
