The course introduces the InDesign tools, panels and setting up workspaces for an efficient workflow and takes you to how to get creative with type and artwork, and create layouts for multiple page documents such as books and magazines. This course for beginners will get you up and running, and give you a solid foundation upon which to build your skills. As the course progresses advance and intermediate techniques will be introduced. The course centers on building your own multi-page booklet using professional standards and best practices. Learn how to use master pages, insert page numbering, chapter numbering, using the section marker, creating tables of contents and indexing documents. In addition, you will learn how to preflight and package a document, and know how to output a document into multiple formats such as an interactive SWF and PDF. Weekly assignments will guide you toward completion of a portfolio quality piece.
