Steve Brindle

Steve Brindle, Ph.D., PMP, is a co-founder and partner at Advoco, an international consulting company based in San Francisco where he brings value to clients through a combination of project management capabilities, communication skills and technical expertise. Steve’s qualifications include a Ph.D. in Mathematics from UCSD; a first class honors B.A. in Mathematics from Oxford University, UK; and Project Management Professional. Awards include the Fulbright Scholarship; UC Regent’s Scholarship; and ATV College Scholarship.

Sutanu Ghosh

Sutanu Ghosh, PMP, PMI-ACP, MCTS, has served as a PMO as well as a hands-on PM at many distinguished institutions in Silicon Valley for over 20 years, including Bay Networks, Symbol, Lockheed Martin, NetApp and VMware.

A quality enthusiast at heart, he has a passion for “Lean” which led to his 6 Sigma certification. He has been teaching MS Project and MS Excel to project management practitioners for over 10 years. Sutanu has a MS in Engineering from AZ State University, Tempe and is widely published on CAX Tools.

Oliver Gildersleeve

Oliver Gildersleeve, PMP, MCTS, has worked remotely since 2010 with a consultancy in Virginia, scheduling six-month projects for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Previously, as vice president of EPM Solutions, he taught Project Server at companies across the US. Prior to that work, he implemented project management improvement for LifeScan, a Johnson & Johnson subsidiary; Franklin Templeton; the Electric Power Research Institute; and Philadelphia Electric. Oliver holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a M.S. in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

Doug Hawley

Doug Hawley, M.B.A., serves as a quality systems and project management consultant and educator. His customers are such private, government and non-profit organizations as Emerson Electric Company, U.S. Navy, Governor's Office of California and the Preventive Medicine Research Institute founded by Dr. Dean Ornish. He is a 2007 Honored Instructor in the University of California extension system and has taught quality leadership at the Petroleum Institute in Harbin, China. He studied quality under Dr. W. Edward Deming. He was a Distinguished Naval Graduate, Commander in the Naval Reserve and Navy Top Gun having flown the aircraft carrier based A-4, A-7 and F-18. He has an M.B.A. from Cornell University and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.

Athens Kolias

Athens Kolias, MPM, PMP, PMI-ACP, is a proud alumnus of San Francisco State University, earning her Bachelor's in Marketing. Subsequently, she earned her Master's in Project Management at Keller Graduate School. She is a 30+ year veteran in various project management roles, both in the for-profit world and in the non-profit sphere. She is also a six-year practitioner of the Policy Governance® model for Board Governance. Partners and clients include PMI-SF Bay Area chapter, XLUR8 Educational & Research Foundation, International Policy Governance Association, and Tiffany & Co. Sandy Mitchell is a PMP, has over 23 years of project management experience, and spent the last 14 years managing projects in the Biotech and Pharmaceuticals industry. Prior to that she managed projects in the military. She has Bachelor’s in Business and Counseling Psychology and holds an MBA with specialties in Leadership and Program Management from John F. Kennedy University.

Veronica A. K. Neal

Veronica A. K. Neal, Ed.D., is a certified diversity professional, integral coach, leadership consultant, and project communications and human resources management specialist. Dr. Neal has close to two decades of experience in the field of diversity education, training and human development. Professionally, she has served as a nonprofit director, program manager, project manager and now manages a successful consulting practice. Dr. Neal continues her research and college teaching while also coaching project and program managers to bring out the best in themselves and their teams.

Catherine Pinkas

Catherine Pinkas, M.B.A., PMP, has been an instructor in Project Management for over 15 years. She has experience in project management in construction, information technology, business development, and events management.  Additionally, Catherine has been involved in financial management for over 20 years, providing both support and education to her clients for their financial lives. Catherine is also actively involved in Habitat for Humanity and other community efforts to assist families in need.

Daniel Shimabuku

Daniel Shimabuku, Ph.D., PMP, is a practicing project manager, and has completed several major infrastructure conversions and software development projects for financial services, eCommerce, higher education, healthcare, distribution/fleet management and manufacturing. His academic credentials include a Ph.D. from the UCLA, an M.B.A. from USC in Management of Information Systems, and a B.A. from UCLA. In 2004, he received his certification in project management from the Project Management Institute, and has been a PMP in good standing since.

Balasubramanian Swaminathan, PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, CSP, SA, SPC4.0, has over 20 years of experience in various challenging leadership roles using innovative technologies in Agile and traditional waterfall project management. He currently works as Enterprise Agile Coach and Leader in GE, Healthcare. Bala has played various key roles in R&D Engineering (Product Life Cycle Management), Information Technology, Process improvement initiatives, Customer Service Organization, Cross-Functional Team Leadership, Project Scoping, and various Senior Software roles. He is also an adjunct faculty at UC Berkeley Extension.
