The role of an effective project leader is a demanding one that requires a clear understanding of the key principles and best practices of project management standards. Based on A Guide to the Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) the course objectives include (1) providing a foundational understanding of the project management profession, (2) introducing standards, principles, best practices, and vocabulary used by project managers, (3) facilitating an understanding of the project manager's unique roles and responsibilities, and (4) sharing in a diverse environment real-work experiences related to projects.
