The area: Program Services

The Program Services Team is responsible for the success of a customer relationship. The responsibilities of this team are clearly measured by three Key Performance Indicators: Customer Satisfaction, Base Growth and Gross Profit and are driven to deliver an executive level of thought leadership and innovation to the customer, while consistently providing delivery excellence.

Position Overview

The Program Executive’s role is to lead. Working with both the sales and delivery teams, the Program Executive will drive work streams to design, implement and run initiatives that create and sustain comprehensive customer solutions. The Program Executive must bring flexibility and focus to priorities such as improving processes and implementing new technologies while ensuring delivery streams are tightly aligned with strategic business objectives as they evolve over time. The Program Executive is responsible for providing relentless focus on the value Zones provides for the customer.

The Program Executive is primarily responsible for:

Leadership in a matrixed environment
Ownership of multiple projects
Maintaining the financial portfolio
Driving high customer satisfaction
Driving high Net Promoter Scores
Maintaining the appropriate skill sets within the delivery teams
Providing thought leadership for innovation
Deliver a predictable, reliable, and exceptional customer experience
Analyze and optimize services as business needs change over time
Speed issue resolution and reduce escalations
Establish and maintain relationships and communications at all levels of the organization
Support senior executives across business lines in strategic analysis, project scoping and approach definition
Ensuring that the overall successful delivery of the portfolio related projects

We are se eking candidates with the following experience and skills

Education

Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 15 years of technical project management experience or business consulting with at least five years managing large, complex IT projects which demonstrate a broad and deep understanding of complex business processes, multiple platforms and language technologies and financial management. A minimum of 15 years of hands-on large-scale project management experience will be considered to replace the educational requirement.

Experience

Mandatory:

Exceptional communication skills and experience working with C-level constituents
Familiarity with Net Promoter Score
Demonstrated knowledge of PMBOK, PMP preferred Extensive experience in managing large engagements, managing the profitability and successfully meeting the customer's expectations and goals
Leadership skill that would be applied across the customer enterprise and across multiple project environments, to influence customer's expectations and goals.
Experience with business transformation and change management.
Experience and success in managing service level agreements with penalties
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Ability to proactively develop and implement strategies that significantly mitigate risk
Ability to work and adapt to change in a fast paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Project
Demonstrative success in innovation

Preferred

Energy industry experience
MBA or equivalent education, training or experience

The area: Project Management Office

At Zones, we continually look for ways to create sustainable value for our customers. We do that first and foremost by delivering unmatched performance to more than 150 large enterprises across North America. The Project Management Office follows the Project Management Institute methodology and is responsible for all aspects of every project. This includes providing project implementation, direction and control of project personnel, a framework for project communications, reporting, execution of procedural and/or contractual activity, the delivery of the scope of services, and project modification/follow-up as necessary. The PMO is responsible for the successful delivery and management of quality projects with high customer satisfaction.

Position Overview

The Senior Project Manager‘s role is to plan, manage, and execute multiple project initiatives that create and sustain comprehensive solutions to deliver a world-class customer experience. These deliverables are managed from initiation to project close-out to ensure the quality of deliverables and timely completion. The role reports within the Program Management Office and oversees a portfolio of large, high-budget customer projects by managing the day to day operational activities across various internal functional departments within Zones. These projects generally include those that are in a solutioned state / pre-start-up mode, pre-implementation phase or are in progress (either in transition or steady-state). This role ensures projects align with the business strategy and deliver on time, boosting productivity and scalability while improving profitability.

The Senior Project Manager is primarily responsible for:

Manage the day to day operational activities of large-scale, high budget projects across various internal functional departments within Zones.
Responsible for a successful delivery in a matrix resource environment for all of the project deliverables.
Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders, including the customer project manager, through regular and proactively scheduled meetings.
Manage project activities through the effective use of project management principles and the specific methodologies adopted by the PMI and Zones to achieve timely project completion and meet the defined project business objectives.
Develop and execute project plans for major Zones initiatives, in a matrix capacity with project team members throughout the organization.
Present recommendations for effective consensus decision making, taking into consideration risk analysis and impact assessment for project milestones.
Develop project resource and cost estimates.
Monitor actual project expenditures against project estimates and budgets.
Provide accurate and timely budget reporting.
Meet or exceed project budget profit targets.
Maintain effective communication and coordination with the project sponsor/business owner to ensure that business objectives are met and any changes are clearly communicated.
Communicate effectively with project team members, senior management and other managers whose staff are involved in projects.
Conform to customer service level agreements (SLA’s) to ensure decreased liability and penalties for not meeting SLA requirements.
Use advanced technical knowledge to perform and apply new technical procedures.
Provide technical direction, guidance and support to Associate Project Managers and Project Coordinators.
Lead and Manage teams of multi skilled resources to ensure goals and deliverables for the projects are being met and or exceeded
Recommend and implement improvements to existing technical procedures based on understanding of new technologies.

Proficient in Budget analysis and understands and has used standard PMI-based financial formulas to analyze earned value
Demonstrated track record for managing complex operational projects, including awareness of business activities.
Demonstrated success at influencing people and initiating changes in business practice
Proven experience effectively interacting with customers, including relationship building.
Ability to work with customer management teams to provide status and set expectations to ensure project success.
PMI member with expert skills using PMI methods in work products/project execution including change management, risk management, and issues management.
Experience delivering presentations to customers as well as the Zones management team
Negotiation skills to achieve coordination and results.
Ability to demonstrate clear understanding of managing all project phases
Ability to effectively and proactively manage changes in project scope
Experience and success in managing service level agreements with penalties
Experience with, or managing projects with, field-based deliverables, and practical experience with concepts such as technician utilization, ticket backlog, and workload balancing
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Ability to proactively develop and implement strategies that significantly mitigate risk
Ability to work and adapt to change in a fast paced environment
Proficient in MS Project, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet and Outlook
