Test Preparation: BTPS Testing
BTPS Testing (formerly Bobrow Test Preparation Services) originated in 1973 at California State University, Northridge, by request of the student body. Since then, BTPS Testing has developed programs for 30 California state universities, colleges, and law schools and has assisted over half a million students in preparing for graduate and entrance exams. BTPS's services are also used by the United Teachers of Los Angeles (UTLA) and the California Teachers Associations (CTA) and have been requested by state boards of education, publishing companies, and school districts throughout the country.
All instructors are fully credentialed with advanced degrees. Fees paid for test preparation classes do not include payment and registration for the actual exam.
BTPS Testing instructors have authored 18 well-known test preparation textbooks, including Barron's New Guide to the Law School Admission Test (LSAT), Cliff's Preparation Guide for the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST), Cliff's Preparation Guide for the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), and many more.
As educators, we know that great teachers make for great classes, so our philosophy has always been to use fully credentialed teachers with advanced or specialized degrees and years of classroom experience. This is the basis for our high quality programs at affordable prices.
Workshops cover the most recent exam areas and:
- familiarize students with each subject area, giving important insight into the question types
- include an intensive review of arithmetic, algebra, and geometry (where applicable)
- run three to four consecutive Saturdays at our Downtown Campus on Market Street
Students may repeat any course free of charge.
