Prerequisites: ECON 301*, ECON 311* or DS 212* or MATH 124* or equivalents, and MATH 226* or equivalent; or Statistics majors with ECON 301* and MATH 440*; or permission of the instructor.
Applied regression and correlation analysis of variance, time series analysis, and forecasting, index numbers, experimental design and sampling methods, and computer applications using major economic data sources; interpretation of results. Lecture, 2 units; activity, 1 unit.
Textbooks to be determined.
Students must have access to the statistical software, called STATA, in their home computer to do data analyses. Students can download STATA for free, on a temporary basis for the semester from SFSU¿s Academic Technology
