SFSU Password and Login

Your SFSU ID is a nine-digit number assigned to you when you create your SFSU account. Your SFSU Login is your SFSU ID nine-digit number at sfsu.edu, for example 912345678@sfsu.edu.

New Students

New students will need to create an SFSU account prior to registering.

Existing Students

If you are a returning student, you can look up your SFSU Login online.

Social Security Number

The Internal Revenue Service requires that students provide their Social Security Number when creating their student record in order for the University to generate a 1098-T form for qualified tuition and any education related tax credits. After a student record is set up, students will use their SFSU Login for every transaction at the University.

Your SFSU Password is a secure password, created by you, that is used with the SFSU Login to log in to your student record. If you do not have an SFSU Password, you can request one using the  SFSU Password Service. Part of setting up your SFSU Password is to select six security questions and answers that will be used if you need to reset your SFSU Password.

If you forgot your password, you can create another password using the SFSU Password Service or visit SFSU Login.
