We are a small, family-owned construction company specializing in custom home and small commercial remodeling and design-build services. Project Manager Role:

Our work is dynamic and varied, and we are seeking a new team member that can reflect these values. This is a multi-faceted role best suited to the candidate that is detail-oriented, focused, trustworthy, and highly skilled in written and verbal communication. The job will be fast-paced and ever-changing, so the ideal candidate is adaptable, eager to learn, and entrepreneurial-minded. The desired candidate should have a strong background and interest in residential construction and passion to pursue a career in this field. Job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Project Management

  • Communication: Works with GC to coordinate with all involved parties and works to resolve onsite issues and any changes to the contract documents.
  • Site Visits: Meet with on-site workers, especially our Foreman, when necessary. Stays updated on job status at each site.
  • Budgeting: Manages construction budget and reports to the owner on both Budget and Schedule.
  • Invoicing & Change Orders: Track and manage contract payments and change orders, negotiations for change order costs, and prepare and distribute monthly budget reports.
  • Estimation: Assist with the bidding process for prospective jobs by collaborating with team members and utilizing past construction data.
  • Contracts & Proposals: Prepare official and professional documents when jobs are confirmed.
  • Materials & Inventory: Help ensure that our crew has the materials needed to work effectively and efficiently, and work with the office team to track costs.

Office Logistics 

  • Communication: Manage company inbox and lead virtual and verbal communication, from addressing client concerns to business logistical requirement
  • Scheduling: Help maintain personal and group calendars, ensuring that everything is addressed.
  • Insurance, Taxes and AP: Work with our office manager and financial consultants to ensure we are in compliance and meeting requirements. Manage accounts payable including processing AP invoices.
  • Legal: Maintain and improve legal paperwork and HR documents to ensure professionalism and security.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in residential construction OR degree in related field and 1+ years of experience in residential construction (preferred), commercial construction, architecture, or home design
  • Proficiency with Excel, other Microsoft applications, and general comfort with tech
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Online (preferred)
  • Familiarity with T Sheets / QuickBooks Time (preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Independent and proactive
  • Comfortable leading and managing projects
  • Interested in longer-term employment opportunities
  • Spanish language proficiency (preferred)
  • Has vehicle and is willing to use for business use (preferred)

Structure:

  • Full-time, Mon-Fri 35-40 hours/week; Semi-remote. There is some flexibility in schedule and travel due to the nature of the position
  • San Francisco sick time policy & 5 PTO days/year
  • Hourly wage based on experience $30 - $40 / hr
