Pre-Health Program Launches Partnership with Samuel Merritt University
San Francisco State University has launched a new partnership between the Pre-Health Professions Post-Baccalaureate Certificate Program and Samuel Merritt University. This agreement creates a formal pathway to select graduate health programs.
What This Partnership Offers
If you are an eligible Pre-Health student, you may receive added consideration when applying to participating Samuel Merritt University programs, including:
- Direct entry for select programs
- Guaranteed interviews for select programs
- Priority or additional admissions consideration
Your Samuel Merritt University application fee is waived when you apply through this pathway.

The partnership includes pathways to the following Samuel Merritt University programs:
- Occupational therapy
- Podiatric medicine
- Physical therapy
- Physician assistant studies
- Pre-licensure nursing programs
Who Is Eligible
To participate, you must:
- Be enrolled in the SFSU Pre-Health Program or have completed it within the last 2 years
- Remain in good academic standing
- Complete all required prerequisites
- Meet all Samuel Merritt University admissions requirements
