Welcome to SF State Winter Session 2018
Take advantage of Winter Session to make progress toward your degree — or take a class that sparks your interests:
- Earn up to four (4) units in December and January.
- Apply credit toward your degree.
Winter Session is Open to Everyone
Winter Session enrollment is open to everyone - matriculated SF State students, prospective students, visitors, and the Bay Area community. Winter Session classes offer an excellent opportunity to meet the faculty, get to know the campus, and get acquainted with other students. The credit you earn may count toward your degree.
Winter Session 2018 course fees are $360/unit. Financial aid is not available.
CSU makes every effort to keep student costs to a minimum. Fees listed in published schedules or student accounts may need to be increased when public funding is inadequate. Therefore, CSU must reserve the right, even after fees are initially charged or initial fee payments are made, to increase or modify any listed fees. All listed fees, other than mandatory systemwide fees, are subject to change without notice, until the date when instruction for a particular semester or quarter has begun. All CSU listed fees should be regarded as estimates that are subject to change upon approval by the Board of Trustees, the Chancellor, or the Presidents, as appropriate. Changes in mandatory systemwide fees will be made in accordance with the requirements of the Working Families Student Fee Transparency and Accountability Act (Sections 66028 - 66028.6 of the Education Code).
Within SF State: For matriculated SF State students, Winter Session course credits are transferable and degree-applicable, as in any other term.
Non-matriculated students may apply up to 24 units toward a bachelor's degree and 6 units toward a master's degree, with the approval of the relevant department chair, should they matriculate into an SF State degree, credential, or credit certificate program.
External institutions: Students who choose to apply for transfer credit at other institutions should recognize that the receiving institution makes decisions about the applicability of transferred courses to a particular degree program.
